NBPSL 2026 Season Preview: Six Clubs, One Trophy

Spring is here, and with it comes the return of the NB Premier Soccer League — the top tier of men’s club soccer in New Brunswick. Six clubs will battle across the province from April through June, with the provincial championship on the line.

The Contenders

The NBPSL has historically been dominated by clubs from the Greater Moncton and Saint John areas, but recent seasons have seen rising competition from Fredericton and the northwest. This year promises to be the most competitive the league has seen.

What to Watch

Several storylines will define the 2026 season. Youth Premiership graduates are entering the senior game in numbers, bringing fresh technical quality. Several clubs have bolstered their squads with players returning from university programs in Quebec and Ontario. And with Soccer NB pushing for higher officiating and pitch standards, match quality should be the best the league has seen.
